Hello, Welcome to a special section of my website meant to give you a snapshot of my career as a reporter. You can certainly surf around the entire site, but below you’ll find a more succinct summary of my work with many links to audio and print stories.
Shortly after September 11th I decided that I had something more to contribute to the country, something that seemed irresponsible to shirk. I have since blossomed into a dirt-digging reporter and fearless producer who never accepts the first no.
I was introduced to radio after reading the book Brief Interviews with Hideous Men. I attempted to reproduce it by interviewing thugs and drug addicts at my local laundromat with an executive style tape recorder. I won’t embarrass myself by showing you the results, but instead take a listen to what I’m able to do now.

This is a 3 minute demo for Voice of the Troubles: 25 Years after the Irish Hunger Strike. It’s a 52/59 minute audio documentary Jay Allison featured on his show and what John Biewen, Audio Program Director at Duke University’s Center for Documentary Studies, calls “powerful” and “moving.” Here's a compelling snippet about an IRA terrorist. It is a good example of creative narrative journalism.
This is an example of shorter, magazine-style narrative radio and here is an interesting D2D feature I did about Wall Street executives who box for fun. Halfway down this page is a charming little vignette I did for ATC recently about the last day of school. I like to approach stories by giving a strong sense of place, here's a good example of that from earlier in my career.

This and this are examples of more traditional news reporting. And here is a good example of reporting on an economic story I tried to make relevant to the general listener.
These are print pieces (here, here, and here) where I worked a beat and was more able to break news. This is a narrative print piece about the coolest backyard on Long Island.
But before you leave you should listen to my favorite piece of all. This combines my love of boxing and love of jazz in one very fluid sound. It’s a good example of where I want my work to progress in the future. Plus it's really cool to listen to in stereo.
Thanks for your time!
